Jethro Bagust is an ex-part time data entry clerk who spends most of his time fashioning musical, lyrical electronica. Also known as “The Worlds Phattest Yorkshireman(TM)”, he has attracted a following in said county, earning a residency at a locally renouned DJ-bar and often appearing at free parties diffusing live versions of his own tracks alongside a diverse mash of electronic music.

Jethro has been compared to Plaid and Autechre, but his influences also include people like Chocolate Weasel and DJ Shadow. However, he is equally at home in more experimental territory. He enjoys recording the sound of a shoe and deconstructing the noise of a park. Recent projects have included an ambient, water-based soundscape written for a 1 year old child, and Digitoy; a circuit bending suite based on the sounds of toys.

His music has been featured on the Machine Records compilation Metal Machine Music 2, and the Selector international radio show. His first full length album is due for release on DubiousAudio in April. Jethro likes curry and hates traffic noise.
