Daisuke Terashima is a London based composer and producer who makes experimental ambient music. He was a visual artist before he began making sound works and began listening seriously to music at the same time that he started making it. There is a strong relationship between his visual works and his compositions, which often seem to be describing visual/spacial phenomena. He says he wants to explore a vast audio world, and you can certainly hear him doing this on the mp3 in the music section.
Daisuke can be compared to ambient artists such as Peter Dundov, but his exploration of textural and spatial elements reflects a more avant garde sensibility, which fans of Tetsu Inoue’s Psycho-Acoustic will appreciate. Very emotive, endlessly interesting music.
